Ashley M. AllisonAssociate
Ashley M. Allison joined the firm in 2019 and concentrates her practice in the area of construction law, insurance law and commercial litigation. She represents clients on matters involving contract drafting and negotiation, construction defect disputes, construction liens and bond claims, and offers counsel on performance related issues. She also represents clients on all aspects of insurance coverage disputes, including breach of contract and property insurance claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Allison handled cases involving insurance defense, including First and Third Party Property claims, personal injury protection (PIP), premises liability, medical malpractice, and other insurance related matters for insurance carriers, insurance companies, doctors and hospitals. She also served as an assistant public defender with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s office, conducting over thirty-six trials, where she handled both misdemeanor and felony charges.
During law school, Ms. Allison was a member of the Women’s Law Society, American Association of Justice, American Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers and Black Law Students Association (BLSA). She received the Alex Alvarez Trial Advocacy Scholarship, the Death Penalty Clinic Award, Pro Bono Service Award, and the Faculty Recognition Award.
