Litigation Paralegal

Open Position

Siegfried Rivera is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join our construction litigation group in our Coral Gables office. The position requires a highly responsible paralegal who is organized, dedicated, and proactive. We are seeking a candidate who possesses strong written and verbal communication and complex creative problem-solving skills. Independent judgment, superior analytical ability, multi-party complex case management skills, and the ability to work in a high paced environment, are a necessity. Extensive knowledge of ESI document review, utilizing specialized review platforms, is required. Document review examples include privilege review, responsive review, redactions, and targeted issue searching. Knowledge of state, federal and complex business court rules are required.  Seeking at least 3 years of experience on major litigation support projects. Trial experience is preferred but not required.

Principal Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform administrative duties as requested by attorneys.
  • Assist with case organization and maintenance; play an integral role in assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Assist with all trial preparation tasks.
  • Provide in-courtroom assistance and exhibit display, as needed.
  • Utilize eDiscovery platforms to perform document reviews. Communicate detailed summaries and analyses of findings.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Organize and prioritize numerous tasks effectively and complete tasks under strict time constraints.
  • Work on multiple cases simultaneously and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Log and organize incoming and outgoing discovery productions.
  • Assist with directing document collections, both electronic and paper.
  • Proofread material as needed for contextual, grammatical, and formatting errors.
  • Review documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria.

The ideal candidate must also have keen attention to detail, ability to work independently, and excellent organizational, communication and technology skills. Necessary computer skills include Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).


    Seeking a minimum of an associate degree or paralegal certificate; however, may substitute experience for qualified/skilled candidates.
