Construction Litigation Attorney

Siegfried Rivera has an immediate opening for an attorney in our Construction Practice. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, and experience, a minimum of 1-3 years’ litigation experience, preferably in Construction Law, with strong writing skills. A background in the Construction and Design Industry would be an asset, but not required.  This is an exciting career opportunity to join a well established firm.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to review and research applicable law, analyze cases effectively
• Draft and edit pleadings
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations and trials
• Build trusting relationships with clients
• Meet annual billable hour requirements

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Admission to the FL State Bar
• 1-3 years of litigation experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills, have attention to detail and be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Be proactive and a self-starter
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be an excellent team player and personable
• Experience with Westlaw, LexisNexis, NetDocs, AIM, I-Conect, Florida Courts E-Filing Portal and PACER preferred
