Board Member Certification Course Information

Recently enacted House Bills 1021 and 1203 provide new board certification education requirements for directors of condominium and homeowners associations. You can read about it here. Historically, our firm and many other Division-approved providers throughout the state have offered Division-approved courses for board members to fulfill past requirements. However, the Division has announced that previously approved courses are no longer valid for any provider in the state of Florida due to changes in the education requirements.

The Division says that it will release instructions on how providers can get new course approvals in the fall. Meanwhile, the Division will offer board certification courses starting August 15th. Board members who need to satisfy the requirement should visit the Division’s website for more information or to access the courses.

The Division is currently the ONLY provider approved to offer courses that meet the new continuing education requirement. Board members should be cautious of other providers offering these courses, as they will not fulfill the requirement. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
