Our firm recently secured a significant trial victory in a construction dispute in Miami-Dade County Court (Case No. 2023-18158 CA 01), successfully defending Mige Group, LLC., (Mige) against homeowners’ claims related to renovations on their Coral Gables residence. Specifically, our client was hired to provide architectural and engineering services for the residential project.

During the renovation phase of the project, the homeowner began to claim that Mige breached the contract. Allegations ranged from multiple issues with the plans to delay claims and damage to the property. However, our client was never given the opportunity to inspect or address the concerns. The homeowners were seeking nearly $500,000 in damages against our client. Shareholder Nicholas D. Siegfried and attorney Mitchel L. Lindheim took the case to trial, where in just two days, they effectively demonstrated to the jury that the allegations were unjustified and that Mige was wrongfully terminated. The jury returned a favorable verdict, awarding our client $95,000+.
