Associate Attorney – Construction Contracts

Siegfried Rivera is seeking an experienced Contract Attorney with at least five (5) years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, with a strong background in construction contracts. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex construction and development matters for sophisticated clients and to further develop both legal skills and client relationships.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, and is eager to continue developing as an attorney and trusted client advisor. The position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful contract drafting and negotiations, work closely with experienced attorneys and clients, and build substantive expertise and long-term client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements across a broad range of projects.
• Identify legal and business risks and develop practical solutions consistent with client objectives.
• Work directly with attorneys and clients on contract negotiations, interpretation, and project-related issues.
• Conduct legal research and prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Independently manage assignments and competing deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide responsive, practical legal advice.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• At least five (5) years of relevant legal experience.
• Significant contract drafting and negotiation experience; construction experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proactive, motivated, and comfortable taking responsibility for matters.
• Strong interest in professional growth and developing client relationships.
• Knowledge of construction, community association, construction lien, and surety law is a plus.
