About the Firm:
Siegfried Rivera is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Real Estate Attorney with a substantial book of business to join our Coral Gables office. This is a strategic opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to integrate into a well-established real estate practice and work alongside Oscar R. Rivera, Chairman of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. This is an in-office and not a remote opportunity.
We are looking for a legal professional with a strong command of commercial real estate law, a track record of leading complex transactions, and an established client base. This individual will play a key role in the continued success and evolution of the firm’s real estate practice, contributing at a senior level and collaborating directly with firm leadership on high value matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sophisticated commercial real estate transactions involving retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use properties, from acquisition and financing to development and disposition.
- Structure and negotiate complex leasing arrangements, including ground leases, retail leases, and office leases, and industrial leases for both landlords and tenants.
- Advise lender and developer clients on real estate financing, including loan transactions, refinancing, foreclosures, and workouts, with a focus on protecting long-term investment value.
- Counsel developers, municipalities, investment firms, and corporate entities on contract enforcement, evictions, and strategic real estate planning across Florida and Latin America.
- Drafting condominium and master property owner declarations as well as vertical mixed use condominium and association documents.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on high-level legal strategy, client development, and long-term practice growth, with the potential to evolve into a key leadership role within the Real Estate/Corporate Practice Group.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Florida.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
- Demonstrated ability to originate and maintain client relationships.
- Strong business acumen and leadership capabilities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Preferred but not required: Familiarity with NetDocuments, AIM, LexisNexis, Westlaw, and iCONECT.
