CORAL GABLES, Fla. (August 15, 2016) —- Steven M. Siegfried, the founding partner of the Coral Gables-based law firm Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel, has been named Best Lawyers’ 2017 Miami Construction Law “Lawyer of the Year.” Only a single attorney in each practice area for each community is honored by Best Lawyers with its Lawyer of the Year distinction.

Siegfried is the firm’s managing partner and has focused on construction law in Florida since 1976. He has served as an adjunct professor of construction law at the University of Miami since 1984. In addition to his board certification as a trial attorney, he is also board certified in construction law by The Florida Bar. Siegfried is a founding Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College in 1971 and his law degree from American University, Washington College of Law in 1974.
