Nicholas Siegfried Served as a Panel Member on Several Issues Related to Multi-Party Arbitrations for Division 9 of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (October 8, 2013) —- Attorney Nicholas D. Siegfried with the Coral Gables-based law firm of Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel served as a panel member for Division 9 of the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry’s discussion of multi-party arbitrations. The program took place in Washington D.C. at the 2013 Fall Meeting for the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry. The ABA Forum on the Construction Industry is the largest organization of construction attorneys in the world and represents all segments of the Construction industry’s owners, developers, design professionals, contractors, subcontractors, supplies, construction managers, lenders, insurers and sureties. Division Nine: Specialty Trade Contractors and Suppliers is one of twelve divisions that comprise the Forum and is responsible for keeping its members up to date on current legal issues and developments affecting subcontractors and suppliers. The Forum’s overall mission is to serve the construction industry through education and leadership. The Division 9 panel discussion on multi-party arbitrations was part of series of breakfast programs that took place in Washington D.C. and included experienced litigators as panelists such as Jeremy Brummond of Lewis Rive Fingersh; Roger C. Jones, Huddles Jones Sorteberg & Dachille, P.C.,; Anthony Lehman, DLA Piper LLP (US); and Scott Griffith of Griffith Davison & Shurtleff, P.C.

Siegfried has focused in the areas of Construction Litigation, Condominium Law and Community Association Law since joining Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel in 2006. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. He is also the editor of Florida Construction Lien Law and Florida Construction Law, both authored by Steven Siegfried. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami Law School where he teaches a course on Florida Construction Lien Law.
