Oscar Rivera to Lead Retail Law Forum, Courses at National ICSC Convention and Professional Development Event

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (February 22, 2012) —- Oscar R. Rivera, a shareholder with the Coral Gables-based law firm of Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel, has been named as the moderator for the Legal Special Industry Group Forum at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ annual RECon 2012 national convention May 20-23 in Las Vegas. Rivera is also serving as the Dean of the College of Law at ICSC’s University of Shopping Centers March 5-7 in Philadelphia, where he will also be presenting the course titled “Anatomy of a Lease.”

“I am honored to be involved in ICSC’s professional development programs for retailers and commercial real estate professionals in 2012,” said Rivera. “These events will help to keep the retail industry’s professionals informed about the latest legal and business matters affecting the industry, and I look forward to my presentations and participation at these and other ICSC events this year.”

Oscar R. Rivera specializes in real property and corporate law, and he heads the Real Estate/Corporate Practice Group at Siegfried Rivera. He completed his undergraduate studies in accounting at the University of Miami and received his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
