Collection and Enforcement of Association Assessments

In order for community associations to run a smooth and financially healthy community, it is essential that members pay their maintenance assessments. Failure to do so prejudices both the association and its members and may result in higher maintenance assessments and/or special assessments for that community.

At SRHL, our collections department works closely with managers to stay current with each association’s collections policies in order to process and enforce the payment of assessments. Our collections attorneys are readily available to guide and recommend actions to take against those owners who fail to pay their share. Matters are reviewed on a case by case basis by our attorneys and legal professionals in order to properly instruct associations on which action would better serve their communities. Our services include the preparation of demand letters, lien letters, claims of lien, tenant rental demand letters, settlement repayment plans, and foreclosure actions.
