CORAL GABLES, Fla. (March 16, 2017) —- Michael J. Monchick has joined the Coral Gables-based law firm Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel as an Of Counsel attorney. He will be based at the firm’s West Palm Beach office and will focus on the firm’s work in construction and real estate law.
Monchick has concentrated on construction, real estate, and commercial and business transactional matters since 1973. He has represented general contractors, subcontractors and property owners in all facets of construction law, and has counseled clients in multi-million dollar real estate transactions. He has also represented large suppliers in the electrical and plumbing fields, and has served as a mediator in construction and commercial litigation disputes. Monchick earned a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from Florida State University in 1968 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida School of Law in 1973.
Monchick is a graduate of the officer basic course at the U.S. Army Engineer School, where he has also served as an instructor. He served as a first lieutenant and staff duty officer on the general staff of Major General J.J. Ursano for the U.S. Army in Vietnam, where he also served under Lieutenant General and Deputy Commanding General of the Army William J. McCaffery.
