Attorneys Steven Siegfried and Stuart Sobel of Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel Earn Rankings from Chambers USA

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (June 16, 2014) —- Partner Steven M. Siegfried, has been designated as a “Senior Statesman” by Chambers and shareholder, Stuart Sobel, has earned the ranking of “Band 1” in Florida construction law for 2014 from Chambers USA, the global legal industry researcher which publishes the leading directories of the legal profession. Attorneys are ranked by Chambers in bands from 1-6, with one being the best. In addition, there are additional categories in which lawyers can be ranked as exceptional individuals, such as the “Senior Statesman” category. The rankings and designations are based on Chambers’ independent research and interviews with attorneys worldwide, making these annual directories one of the most reliable and respected sources for information on the global legal profession. Steven Siegfried is the firm’s managing partner and has focused on construction law in Florida since 1976. He has served as an adjunct professor of construction law at the University of Miami since 1984. In addition to his board certification as a trial attorney, he is also board certified in construction law by The Florida Bar. Siegfried is a founding Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College in 1971 and his law degree from American University, Washington College of Law in 1974.

A shareholder with the firm since 1995, Stuart Sobel is board certified in construction law by The Florida Bar. He is also certified as circuit civil mediator by the Florida Supreme Court and as a civil trial attorney by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Sobel is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers, having completed a three-year term sitting on its Board of Governors, and he is active as a neutral on the American Arbitration Association’s Large and Complex Case Panel for Construction. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Brown University in 1975 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 1978.
