Salas earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Florida International University in 2007, and he received his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2010. He is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association and American Bar Association, and he is admitted to practice in Florida and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
