August 13, 2016

Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel is extremely pleased to announce that shareholder Jason Rodgers-Da Cruz has been selected to chair the Firm’s construction defect trial practice group, which comprise our attorneys dedicated to serving the needs of community associations, developers, general contractors and subcontractors.

Jason Rodgers-Da Cruz is an accomplished construction attorney with over 13 years of trial experience litigating multi-party complex construction defect claims pertaining to all building components, including structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, roofing, waterproofing and all life-safety components. Additionally, Jason adds to the Firm’s construction law practice by litigating financial and business tort claims, including prosecuting and defending parties for breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent transfers, corporate piercing, developer disclosure and alter-ego theories.

Jason leads the team with his broad trial experience and extensive knowledge of the Chapter 558 process. He stays abreast of developing trends in law through his membership with the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry, where he is a steering committee member of Division 1-Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Jason frequently authors and presents on matters impacting the construction defect industry.

Managing partner Steven M. Siegfried commented that “we are thrilled that Jason will continue to grow with the Firm and oversee this important practice area. He definitely strengthens our litigation practice with his considerable experience. With the amount of construction projects in South Florida that are yet to be completed, it is important that those facing construction defect related issues have an attorney that can properly defend them in and out of a courtroom.”
