PRIMARY FOCUS & EXPERIENCE

Alex Wildman joined the firm in 2022 and concentrates his practice on complex commercial and construction litigation. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Wildman has defended his clients at the trial court and appellate level and in arbitration. Before joining the firm, his practice primarily focused on defending construction design professionals in high-exposure claims relating to construction defects, delays and copyright infringement. In addition, Mr. Wildman is experienced in securities litigation, having defended investigative actions initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission at the trial and appellate level.

Defended an attorney in an investigative and statutory enforcement action initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the trial court. Sec. & Exch. Comm’n v. Marin, 2019 WL 3430486 (S.D. Fla. 2019). Initiated and litigated the appeal against the SEC before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit relating to the SEC’s investigative authority under 15 U.S.C. § 78u . Marin v. Sec. & Exch. Defended roofing contractor in multi-million-dollar construction defect claim arising out of a total roofing failure at a luxury condominium following Hurricane Irma. Reached an amicable settlement on the eve of trial. McHugh Construction Co. v. Salomon Construction & Roofing Corp., 2019 WL 3562340 (S.D. Fla. 2019).
Successfully defended architect in complex copyright infringement claim alleging infringement of design components, resulting in a dismissal. Landscape Design Workshop, Inc. v. Minto Communities, LLC, 2018 WL 7046959 (S.D. Fla. 2018).
Defended condominium association in the trial court for claims alleging statutory violations and fiduciary duty breaches, successfully vacating a $300,000+ judgment. Thereafter, successfully defended the condominium association on appeal, affirming the trial court’s decision. Beltway Capital, LLC v. Bay Towers Condo. Assoc., Inc., 205 So.3d 604 (Fla. 4th DCA 2016)
