Recordkeeping: Best Practices for HOA Board Members

Homeowners’ association board members are now required to take four or eight hours of continuing education (depending on the number of parcels in their respective community) in addition to the state-approved board member certification course. This course is approved by the DBPR for 1-hour of continuing education credit for HOA board members.

In light of recent amendments to Florida law, including new compliance standards for recordkeeping, this one-hour course is essential for HOA board members. The class provides an overview of statutory obligations, practical best practices and tools to ensure your HOA meets the latest legal requirements, including mandatory website disclosures, electronic communications and retention policies.
