Understanding Your HOAs Key Documents

Stephanie Bowman

Homeowners’ association board members are now required to take four or eight hours of continuing education (depending on the number of parcels in their respective community) in addition to the state-approved board member certification course. This course is approved by the DBPR for 1-hour of continuing education credit for HOA board members.

A well-functioning community depends on a clear understanding of the documents and laws that govern it. This course gives HOA board members an in-depth overview of the essential rules and regulations shaping Florida homeowners’ associations. Participants will learn how to identify and interpret critical association documents, including Declarations, statutes, rules, and regulations, while gaining insight into how these documents interact and which rights and restrictions take precedence within the community.
